Words of Wisdom

Don't undermine your worth by comparing
yourself with others.
It is because we are different that each of us is special.
Don't set your goals by what other people
deem important.

Only you know what is best for you.
Don't take for granted the things closest to your heart.
Cling to them as you would your life, for without them
life is meaningless.

Don't let your life slip through your fingers
by living in the past or for the future.
By living your life one day at a time,
you live all the days of your life.

Don't give up when you still have something to give.
Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying.
Don't be afraid to admit that you are less than perfect.
It is this fragile thread that binds us to each other.
Don't be afraid to encounter risks.

It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave.
Don't shut love out of your life by saying it's impossible to find.
The quickest way to receive love is to give love.
The fastest way to lose love is to hold it too tightly;
and the best way to keep love is to give it wings.
Don't dismiss your dreams.

To be without dreams is to be without hope;
to be without hope is to be without purpose.
Don't run through life so fast that you forget
not only where you've been, but also where you're going.
Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored
each step of the way.

Psyche, an exclusive poem from the book

I said this to my fellow brother,
Had an argument like no other,
With the aim of exploring each other,
Turned out to be much more lesser!

Mankind has a nature of colors,
Differing with one another,
But uniting on one thing or the other.

It seems white or it seems black,
Thinking forever that we’re on the right track,
May it be this or just that,
Whatever it is,it seems far more than what sounds fact.

With every experience, man learns something to view,
To apply, explore and to extract the very dew,
What seemed white now seems darker,
And what seemed black just turned lighter,
Turned out that the color was gray,
Preventing mankind from going astray!

Amidst all this, someone seems lost,
Wondering what this all could’ve cost,
Lamenting on the melting frost,
But what is out of focus ,
Is grayer than just bogus.

We live with each other,
Care for our brothers,
Dare to protect our sisters,
But stand for something better than the other,
Our energies integrate or disintegrate,
Our activities unite or disunite,
Our spirits rise or just shatter!

Rise up to the sky and wonder,
Is it a wonder or a blunder,
That we are all working for each other,
Trying to love our differences,
And to resolve our occurrences,
Not for you or me..,
But the greater part of us!

To make the air much sweeter,
To feel the sun more warmer,
To sense what we have for the other,
And then paint the sky a different color!

Mother,father,sister, and brother,
It is time that we think not to falter,
To highlight our weaknesses and let them shatter,
To give rise to strengths that are never to bother.

You and me,we and us,
Is a part of a sacred trust,
Explore what is beyond the crust,
And remember never to frust!
For anger is but a tool of the dust,
Threatening "us" in you and me

Let us stand for what is and what was,
To give rise to a better clause,
For you and for me and for every feel,
Present, Future and History,
Reviving the very psyche…..!

A world, unknown?

"A world, unknown" is a book written by Abdullah Saqib, an engineering student in Islamabad,Pakistan.

The book is about the need for understanding the problems we face in our lives and the quest for unity. We all face problems but our approach towards problem solving is different and unique. Some concentrate on the short-term benefit while others tend to stress on the long-term. Many act alone but the consequences make them realise that the solution is unity. But how can unity be achieved when there are so many different groups, races, colors, and creeds? The answer is knitted within the book.

We all have our own world-view comprising of our thoughts, emotions, opinions, experiences, and perspectives and we naturally wish to share our world with others. Our world becomes unknown when misconceptions, misinterpretations and related ills attack our world and seek to eradicate it; for without our world, we are lost souls with nothing to wait for but death.

Thus, this book combines all modes of english writing to motivate and inspire the reader in strengthening the world within, through ideas, and combine it with the worlds all around.

Conclusively, the mission of this book is to highlight the tussle going on which leads our world to the unknown and how to prevent this from happening. It ends with a manifesto, a call for action, urging to become leaders and agents of change for the betterment of humanity.

an overVIEW

THE PROBLEM

We all want to get rid of problems, don’t we? But the more we try, the more they multiply. Some tend to ignore while others try to deplore. Individually, we are lost souls trying to find the very purpose of our existence. Although we try our best to ignore “serious” topics and tend to get fooled by emotions and dictations.

The trend is what we follow with the guise of saving time, conserving energy and valuing life.

Individuals gather together to form a society just like arithmetic addition. The greater the number, the stronger the family and quality? Well, that’s something to do with alleviation of poverty. We get so confused with our very own questions that we spend little time pondering on the solutions. And when we do find some degree of success in this pursuit, we realize the absence of energy, focus and most importantly, time. Death knocks on the door of collective misery and lets the individual escape to a world of “fantasy”.

This world has no strength of its own, but our weaknesses become its strengths. There is no possible solution to the trials of life. Have patience, pass your time and slip away making sure that each moment was worth its stay.

THE SOLUTION

Despite the apparent isolation, we are not alone. We all have our world, our view and our approach to life. What we fail to realize that everything we need, to convert problems to challenges and challenges to solutions, is right here with each one of us. The power lies with you, within your mind is “your world, unknown”. If you believe in what you have and have faith in what you can, you can achieve virtually anything. This can only be made possible by understanding your world: your thoughts, opinions, emotions, experiences and perspectives. When you understand yourself, you understand life, you understand reality.

The society is not just a collection of individuals bonded by self-interest. It is a union of individuals strengthened by common thoughts, bonded by collective emotions and perfected by a governing system.

We are all different, in a similar way. Our goals are the same but our approaches vary. The problems we face are all connected; they are the effects of a common cause. To eradicate them, we need to unite and rediscover our worlds and unite them to form a world, based on common principles!

A world, unknown is a book written by Abdullah Saqib, an ordinary engineering student, thinking of something extraordinary. This is not a mere collection of essays or articles but an amalgam of all forms of writing including poetry, essays and personal notes. So, get ready to become part of this journey.
